Counseling and Psychotherapy
Whether you need assistance and support to meet individual, couple or family challenges, it is useful to enhance your problem solving capabilities through the therapeutic process. I will actively work with you on defining your goals and then designing a series of steps to achieve them. Trained as a family systems therapist, I will always consider and pay close attention to the important relationships in your life, whether or not you come to me for individual, marital or family therapy. I use a cognitive behavioral approach, employing tools such as guided imagery, hypnosis and relaxation techniques to diminish symptoms of depression, anxiety and/or feelings of just being stuck. Using these same tools, I can work together with you and your doctor to decrease stress in your life that can be contributing to chronic medical problems such as IBS, chronic pain or high blood pressure.
